YOUTH THEATRE - SENIORGo Back Enrol Now

Program: YOUTH THEATRE
Program Group: SENIOR View Synopsis

SENIOR YOUTH THEATRE is for students age 7 to 12 years.  Students do not need any previous stage or acting experience, however, they do need to be prepared to contribute, work hard and have loads of fun.

Youth Theatre is NOT a holiday care program, it is serious theatre for those that are keen to learn and be on stage.

Plays and musical plays are written so that every student receives a meaningful role with dialogue.  Roles are designed so that those with more confidence and experience can be extended, while those less confident can be nurtured.

Play Synopsis

As Robin Hood and his scary men continue to rob from the rich and give to the poor (themselves), the Sheriff of Nottingham’s soldiers have captured Maca, a strange Scotsman who owes his allegiance to Robin. Meanwhile, Sir Guy of Gisbourne holds Maid Marian prisoner in Nottingham Castle where he plans to marry Marian against her will. However, the Ladies Ursula and Annabel along with the Reverent Mother and Sisters Marcia and Grace, have a plan to help Marian and rescue Maca from the dungeons. But wait, what of the Sheriff’s minstrel and Gwendolyn, Guardian of Sherwood Forest, where do they fit into this?
