YOUTH THEATRE - SENIORGo Back Enrol Now

Program: YOUTH THEATRE
Program Group: SENIOR View Synopsis

SENIOR YOUTH THEATRE is for students age 7 to 12 years.  Students do not need any previous stage or acting experience, however, they do need to be prepared to contribute, work hard and have loads of fun.

Youth Theatre is NOT a holiday care program, it is serious theatre for those that are keen to learn and be on stage.

Plays and musical plays are written so that every student receives a meaningful role with dialogue.  Roles are designed so that those with more confidence and experience can be extended, while those less confident can be nurtured.

Play Synopsis

Rosie is set in New York City in the fabulous 1920's when prohibition, gangsters, flappers, nightclubs and speakeasies are the talk of the town. The most talked about gangster is Fast Eddie and his side-kick Fat Freddy. Fast Eddie is determined to take over the Ritz nightclub from Rosie and her girls Ellie, Gypsy and Electra. However, Eddie's girls, Ginger, Bubbles, Fifi and Mimi, have other ideas. What could they be ... do they support Eddie or will they take Rosie's side? To muddy the waters still further, Jimmy the Gentleman is back in town and rumors are starting to spread ... has Buster the paperboy been up to his old tricks again? And why does the Mayor and Police Chief McGreedy keep meeting behind closed doors?
